1 Person Killed In A Fatal Bicycle Crash In Corpus Christi (Corpus Christi, TX)

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday night in Corpus Christi. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the bicycle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 7100 block of South Staples Street. A bicycle disregarded the crosswalk traffic control device and rode across the road. As a result of this, he was struck by a motorist.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.

Other insights pertaining to the collision are pending determination. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. 

The crash continues to be investigated by the CCPD.
