1 Person Killed In A Bicycle Accident In Harris County (Harris County, TX)

A tragedy struck in the Copperwood neighborhood of northwest Harris County as a bicyclist was fatally injured after being hit by two drivers. The bicycle accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when the man was crossing FM-529 near Highway 6.

Reports from Harris County sheriff’s deputies indicate that after being struck by the first vehicle, the impact threw the man off his bike. As he was attempting to retrieve his bike, he was hit by a second car. While the driver of the first vehicle stopped and provided aid, the second driver continued driving but later stopped. 

The driver, who claimed not to have seen what was hit, was interviewed by deputies. The fatal crash will now be referred to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Tragically, the bicyclist was airlifted to Memorial Hermann via Life Flight, where he was pronounced dead.
