1 person killed following an accident in south Travis County (Travis County, TX)

As per the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, one person was killed after a traffic collision in south Travis County on Friday.

Deputies immediately responded to the crash scene located at the intersection of Katy Lane and FM 1626, just over a mile west of I-35. Preliminary reports suggested that it was a crash with injury just before 10 a.m., the Travis County Sheriff’s Office reported earlier.

All traffic lanes on FM 1626 were shut down for some time, but opened again three hours later. The events that have led up to the crash remain unknown at this time. It is also unclear how many vehicles were involved and if anyone received injuries following the collision.

An investigation is underway.
