1 person killed following a traffic collision involving a scooter in East Austin (Austin, TX)

One person died after an apparent scooter crash in East Austin.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of the 2700 block of East 13th Street near Walnut Avenue at about 2:26 a.m. in response to a traffic collision. On arrival, emergency responders found an adult person with major injuries.

The victim was later declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
