1 Person Killed, Another Injured In A Fatal Crash Near Centerville (Leon County, TX)

Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal crash that claimed a life and injured another. 

The crash happened on I-45 north of Centerville on Monday afternoon. 

According to the DPS, a 2020 Kenworth 18-wheeler traveling northbound halted at the road construction ahead. The trailer was hit by a 2019 Freightliner 18-wheeler traveling northbound. 

The Freightliner driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 72-year-old Billy Faison. 

The Kenworth driver, James Dalberg, 49, was taken to Freestone Medical Clinic for treatment.

The investigation is being carried out by DPS. No further details regarding the crash are currently available.
