One person was killed while another suffered injuries following a head-on collision in Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place near 31st and Northern avenues at about 4:15 a.m. The preliminary reports showed that an eastbound SUV went left of the center line and crashed head-on into a Sedan that was travelling westbound in the area.
On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the two drivers to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the Sedan later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
