According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Santa Monica. Officials confirmed that one person died and nine others were injured due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 1000 block of PCH, near the California Incline. A Kia carrying six adults and two small children attempted to turn left when it was T-boned by a southbound Toyota Camry. This resulted in damaging the passenger side rear door of the Kia.
One passenger in the back of the Kia suffered a serious leg injury and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Other passengers were transported to the hospital sustaining injuries. Their identities are not yet known at this time.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
