According to the Dallas Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday morning in Dallas. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Interstate 30 and 2nd Avenue.

A Chevrolet Malibu was struck by an off-duty officer driving a Jeep Wrangler. The occupants of the Malibu included a pregnant mother and two other people. All the occupants were rushed to the hospital, where the pregnant mother was pronounced dead.

The deceased woman’s child and the two other occupants continue to remain in critical condition. The cause of the collision is pending determination. The crash continues to be investigated by the DPD.
