According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in San Jacinto. Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Ramona Expressway.
Officials confirmed that one person died and one person was seriously injured due to the motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles struck one another. The motorists in both vehicles were trapped inside and had to be extricated.
Both the victims were rushed to a regional trauma center where one person was pronounced dead and another remained in a serious condition. Other details including the identity of the victims or the descriptions of the vehicles involved remain unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the RCSD. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. There are no other details available at this time.
