The New Mexico State Police authorities reported that a multi-vehicle accident took place and resulted in a fatality. The incident reportedly took place on I-40 at mile marker 20 in Mentmore, just west of Gallup.
The authorities confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash, and added that the incident involved 1 vehicle and several other semi trailers.
No further information regarding the causes of the fatal crash have been made available at this time. Details regarding the identity of the parties involved are also unclear.
In addition to this, no information regarding the extent of injuries, if any, have been disclosed.
