Representatives from the Houston Metro Police Department state that they are investigating the death of a man who was killed by a bus late Saturday night. The incident took place near the campus of the University of Houston.
Witnesses said the victim was running toward the bus so the driver tried to veer left to avoid hitting him. The man ran into the side of the vehicle, lost his footing and fell. He was consequently struck by the bus.
He reportedly died at the scene.
Details regarding the identity of the victim have not been released as of yet.
In addition to this, no further information regarding the fatal crash was made available.
