1 person killed after a two-vehicle collision in southeast Austin (Austin, TX)

On Sunday morning, one person died while another suffered injuries following a traffic collision in southeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place near Tesla Road and FM 973 at approximately 7:30 a.m. The early reports revealed that one person was trapped down due to the collision. On arrival, emergency responders rescued and rushed that person to South Austin Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Medical personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the second person but they were finally pronounced dead. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
