1 person killed after a traffic collision on U.S. 183 in east Austin (Austin, TX)

On Monday, one person died following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in east Austin.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place a little before 3:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the 1400 block of Ed Bluestein on U.S. 183. The early reports showed that a single-vehicle accident occurred in the area, followed by a second crash that involved another vehicle and a pedestrian.

One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Drivers were asked to expect delays in this area. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unknown. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
