On Wednesday morning, one person died following a rollover crash in Santa Maria.
As per the initial information, the fatal traffic accident was reported at 5:18 a.m. on the intersection of Hwy 1 and Black Road. A caller informed authorities that the vehicle was not visible from the roadway. The vehicle reportedly came to a stop on its side approximately 40 feet from the roadway.
Its lights were not on, and wreckage from the crash was strewn across the road. One person was killed as a result of the accident. According to the officials, the vehicle was cold to the touch. No other details are made available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
