One person died following a rollover accident Saturday night in Peoria.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at approximately 9:00 p.m. near the Boulder OHV area, which is around 10 miles west of Lake Pleasant. The early reports showed that a UTV flipped over for reasons that are yet to be known. One of the occupants of the vehicle suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
Another occupant of the vehicle remained unharmed in the accident. At this time, it is unknown if speed or impairment contributed to the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
