On early Thursday morning, one person died following a two-vehicle accident in Leander.
As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash took place shortly after midnight on Ronald Reagan near San Gabriel Parkway. That is north of Hero Way. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Officials closed northbound Ronald Reagan between Palmera Ridge Boulevard and Texas 29 as crews worked at the scene. The road was expected to remain blocked throughout the morning. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
