On Thursday, one person died while two people suffered injuries following a crash in Shreveport.
As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision was reported shortly after 2 a.m. on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway, near the Fant Parkway Service Road and River Walk Apartments. On arrival, responding officers learned that there were three people inside the car at the time of the accident. One person succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Before the crash, an officer on duty witnessed the car going at a high rate of speed, traveling south on the roadway. Shortly after, they discovered the crash site. Traffic was flowing but reduced to one lane. The ages of the male occupants are teens to early twenties. One of them was arrested for allegedly stealing the crashed vehicle. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
