The Police department reported a motor-vehicle accident in Louisiana on Thursday.
The car crash happened on I-10 eastbound, between Grosse Tete & LA-415.
The driver was injured in the crash.
He was airlifted to a hospital following a car crash.
According to Major Zachary Simmers, the crash happened when the vehicle ran into the back of an 18-wheeler.
The identity of the victim is unknown.
The highway was shut down around 9 a.m. due to the crash.
According to the DOTD, it was reopened again around 9:30a.m.
