Police reports state that a woman was involved in an accident that took place at around 3 AM on Interstate 35 North Access Road and Dinn Drive.
The woman, driving a car swerved sideways to avoid hitting a bicyclist and lost control of the vehicle. The car then swerved into a guardrail and a cement divider.
When she stepped outside to inspect the damage to the vehicle, the woman was then struck by another vehicle. Police state that the silver sedan that struck her drove away.
The woman was transported to the hospital in stable condition following the hit-and-run accident.
As a result of the incident, Police shut down the road for the investigation and clean-up and issued reports to avoid the area if possible.
