1 Person Injured In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Jefferson County (Jefferson County, TX)

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday in Jefferson County.

Officials confirmed that one person was injured due to the accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred on Interstate Highway 10 west, near the Hampshire exit.

The wreck involved 9 vehicles in total.

A 2017 Land Rover SUV was traveling west when it struck the rear of a vehicle that left the scene.

It then collided with the rear of a 2019 Acura SUV.

This caused a chain reaction with six other vehicles.

The drivers of all the vehicles were identified.

The driver of the 2019 Ford Pickup identified as 39-year-old Justin Abshire was injured due to the accident.

Other details pertaining to the collisions are pending release.

The crash continues to be investigated by the TPD.
