According to the Georgia State Patrol, a multi-vehicle crash was reported in Jackson County.
Authorities confirmed that 1 person was injured due to the accident.
Officials stated that the collision occurred on Interstate 85, southbound near Highway 129.
The crash involved 5 tractor-trailers, a Toyota car and a Dodge truck.
A tractor-trailer improperly changed lanes in front of the Toyota.
This lane change caused the Toyota to hit the back of the tractor-trailer which thereby hit a second tractor-trailer.
The Dodge truck hit the back of that semi, and this was followed by a third tractor-trailer colliding with the truck.
This chain reaction continued until two more semi trucks hit each other.
The driver of the Toyota car was injured minorly and transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
