According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Thursday night in Rancho Cordova.
Officials confirmed that one person was injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred along the highway near Hazel Avenue.
The Rancho Cordova Police Officers attempted to make a stop for a vehicle code violation.
But the vehicle failed to pull over.
When the police chased the vehicle, it struck several other cars on the path.
The driver of the vehicle finally lost control and crashed.
The driver and passenger in the vehicle then attempted to flee.
A man on the road struck by the vehicle was hospitalized sustaining injuries due to the wreck.
No arrests were made as of Friday afternoon.
The crash remains under investigation by the SCSO.
