The Peoria Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in on Thursday morning. The collision involved two vehicles. The accident happened close to 91st Avenue on Thunderbird Road.
The officials have reported that one person was seriously injured in the accident. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet by the officials.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. There are no other details available at this time.
Between Loop 101 and 91st Avenue, Thunderbird was closed to eastbound and westbound traffic. The road was reopened early Thursday afternoon.
