1 Person Injured In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Memphis (Memphis,TN)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Southwest Memphis on Thursday.

The accident occurred at the intersection of West Shelby Drive and South Third Street at round 6 p.m.

A pedestrian was struck by a truck and got severely injured.

He was transported to the Regional One with life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

According to police, the negligent driver remained at the scene.

It is unclear what caused the crash and whether drugs or alcohol was a factor involved.

Crash is being investigated by the police.

South Third is temporarily closed to southbound traffic currently.
