The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident Monday afternoon.
The accident was reported to have occurred on Highway 41 near Jewel Vista Drive around 3.20 p.m.
There were reports of a man lying on the road and causing a roadblock.
Upon the arrival of officials and paramedics, it was reported that the victim was conscious but had suffered major injuries.
The victim was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
The officials did not disclose the identity of the victim.
The cause of the crash was also not revealed.
