One person was injured following a wreck Wednesday morning in Riverside.
As per the initial information, the four-vehicle pile-up took place at about 10:00 a.m. on southbound Interstate 215 close to University Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that the big rig struck an Audi before colliding with two SUVs.
One motorist received injuries, but the extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time. The incident closed down all lanes and prompted a SigAlert due to the ensuing traffic jam. At about 10:30 a.m., CHP officers opened the slow lane, but the three southbound lanes remained blocked. No other details are available.
The wreck remains under review.
