1 person injured after being hit by a vehicle in Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

On early Thursday, one person was injured after getting struck by a vehicle in Sacramento.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place at approximately 12:20 a.m. on National Drive and Vista Park Court. The early reports showed that the accident happened during an illegal sideshow with 50 to 60 spectators.

A light blue Dodge Charger spun doughnuts when the left back seat passenger hung out of the rear window with a cell phone. After that, the driver hit a spectator and drove away from the scene. The victim suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Authorities asked the public to identify the suspect. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
