1 person injured after an auto-pedestrian crash in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

On Thursday morning, one person suffered injuries after getting struck by a car in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Peach Orchard Road. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit one person for reasons that are yet to be known. The extent of the injuries suffered by the victim remains unknown.

Both southbound lanes of Peach Orchard were shut down as crews worked at the scene. Drivers were initially asked to use an alternate route. The crash site was later cleared. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
