On Saturday morning, one person suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck in Pomona.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place before 6 a.m. near Kellogg Drive in which a semi-truck and two other vehicles were involved. The early reports revealed that the driver of the semi was pinned inside the vehicle as it got engulfed in flames. On arrival, emergency responders called an ambulance for the driver of the big rig. The accident spilled the big rig’s payload of Dr Pepper and Diet Coke cans onto the freeway.
The incident did not cause any other injuries. Officials shut down the eastbound 10 Freeway as crews worked at the scene. At 7:20 a.m., authorities announced that two lanes were back open. The other three eastbound lanes were expected to remain blocked for an additional two hours. No further details were provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
