On Tuesday, a postal worker suffered injuries after a vehicle slammed into the Post Office in Denham Springs.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place as a driver of the vehicle mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake and crashed through the building. The driver was able to drive through the area housing mailboxes and into another part of the building where mail is organized.
The postal worker suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision. The identity of the injured victim has not been released. No other details have been provided by the authorities.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
