On Friday morning, 1 person was hospitalized in serious condition after his vehicle reportedly went flying and landed on another vehicle in Livingston Parish.
As per the initial information, the incident took place on LA Highway 16 at Juban Road. The preliminary reports showed that the man was heading north on Highway 16 when he veered off the road and his vehicle reportedly went airborne, removing a utility pole, before crash-landing on top of another truck in the parking lot of nearby business.
The parked truck was not occupied at the time of the accident. On arrival, the emergency crews airlifted the driver to a hospital with serious injuries. Highway 16 at Juban Road is shut down and that there are active power lines across the roadway.
Traffic traveling northbound on Hwy 16 was being redirected to Southpoint Road while southbound traffic was rerouted to Whittington Drive. Motorists should expect delays in the affected area while crews work at the scene.
