On Friday afternoon, one person was hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident in Henderson.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place at about 4:30 p.m. near Highway 95 and Russell. The preliminary investigation revealed that a stolen vehicle was found in the area, and officers tried a traffic stop. The vehicle did not yield, and crashed into another car. The suspect then fled the vehicle and got hit by another oncoming car on the highway.
On arrival, medics took that person to an area hospital with non-fatal injuries. The incident did not lead to any other injuries. Northbound and southbound traffic was blocked on Hwy 95 from Russell to Tropicana as crews worked at the scene, but was back open as of 8 p.m. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
