On Christmas Eve, one person suffered injuries following a rollover crash near Springfield.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 9 pm on Hwy 161, close to the Hwy 431 intersection, just outside Springfield city limits. The preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup truck with two occupants drifted off the roadway and flipped over for reasons that are yet to be known.
On arrival, paramedics took one person to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield with non-fatal injuries. Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
