One person was injured following a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon in Lafayette.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place a little after 2 p.m. on Bertrand Drive near Congress Street, close to the Agave Restaurant. The early reports indicated that a gray jeep crashed and rolled on its side for reasons that are yet to be known.
The female driver of the vehicle was pinned inside the vehicle due to the impact. On arrival, rescuers extricated the woman from the vehicle. Officials said that the woman is expected to escape with only moderate injuries. No additional details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
