On Thursday morning, a Sig Alert was announced following a multi-vehicle pile-up that left a vehicle on its side and injured one person on Interstate 8 in La Mesa.
As per the early reports, one person sustained unknown injuries after a nine-vehicle wreck that blocked the first and second lanes of westbound I-8, close to the Lake Murray Boulevard at about 7:30 a.m.
The reports further showed that it was a three- to four-vehicle accident that caused several more cars to pile up, rolling one on its side. At this time, it is unclear if the crash caused any other injuries. Lanes of I-8 opened back again to traffic by 9 a.m. No other details are available.
The wreck remains under active review.
