1 person injured after a motorcycle crash on South Pass Road (Sumas, WA)

On Thursday morning, one person suffered injuries following a motorcycle accident on South Pass Road.

As per the initial information, officers quickly responded to the 5400 block of South Pass Road in Sumas at around 3:30 a.m. after getting reports of a traffic collision. On arrival, emergency responders learned that the rider had fallen down a several foot slope after leaving the roadway on a corner.

Crews managed to descend the slope, package the victim for transport and then ascended the slope with the person. The motorcyclist was then taken by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center under advance life support (ALS) protocols. The events that have led up to the crash remain unknown at this time.

An investigation continues.
