The Georgia State Patrol is looking into a crash involving a dump truck that caused serious injuries to the driver.
The single-vehicle accident took place on Tuesday afternoon on Veteran’s Parkway. According to the Chatham County Police, the roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction after the dump truck collided with the Overpass Bridge.
The Chatham County Police Department also called crews to inspect the overpass to ensure there were no structural issues following the collision. Investigators have ascertained that it does not need to be shut down for traffic. Authorities are warning of traffic delays in the area. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
