1 person in critical condition after an auto-pedestrian collision in Austin (Austin, TX)

On Saturday, one person suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Austin.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 11:59 p.m. in the 700 block of West 6th Street. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit one person for reasons that are yet to be known. On arrival, emergency responders found an adult unconscious.

The pedestrian was rushed to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening injuries. The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed at this time. It is unknown if the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene or not after the collision. No other details are immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
