1 person hurt after a vehicle rear-ended a street sweeping convoy on the Northwest Side (San Antonio, TX)

One person was hurt after a vehicle crashed into the back of a street sweeping convoy Wednesday on the Northwest Side.

As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place just after 9:30 p.m. along Interstate 10 near De Zavala Road. A woman informed police that she looked down for a second before slamming into the back of the street sweeper.

None of the workers was harmed in the accident. The driver, who incurred minor injuries, received medical aid at the scene. According to the authorities, distracted driving likely contributed to the crash. No charges are expected. No additional information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
