According to the New Braunfels Police, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Saturday afternoon.
The officials stated that five vehicles were involved in a crash in the 1600 block of Interstate 35 North, in the northbound lanes.
The crash happened at around 2:45 p.m.
The officials reported that one person was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The identity of the victim was not disclosed by the authorities.
The New Braunfels police are yet to confirm whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
No additional information regarding any other casualty was provided.
