1 person hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in North Highlands (North Highlands, CA)

An employee of Jimboy’s Tacos received injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday in North Highlands.

As per the initial information, the crews actively responded to the area at Elkhorn Boulevard and Thomas Drive just before 9 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian accident. The early reports showed that the two vehicles were heading toward each other when the eastbound vehicle turned left towards Thomas Drive, but ended up colliding with the other vehicle.

The turning vehicle then drove up onto the curb and hit the Jimboy’s Tacos employee. On arrival, responders transported the pedestrian to Mercy San Juan Medical Center in unknown condition. On the other hand, both drivers incurred minor injuries. No further details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
