1 person hospitalized after an auto-pedestrian crash on the West Side (San Antonio, TX)

On Tuesday night, a man sustained injuries after he was hit by a Jeep on the city’s West Side.

Officers actively responded to the area of Culebra Road and North Zarzamora at 11:35 p.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian collision. The preliminary investigation showed that a Jeep heading westbound on Culebra hit a pedestrian who stepped out into the street.

The driver stopped after the collision and rendered aid. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the man to University Hospital with critical injuries. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
