One person was hospitalized in critical condition following a motor vehicle crash north of Battle Creek on Tuesday evening. 

The Bedford firefighters stated that the accident happened near the intersection of Bedford and Hamilton Road. 

A tow truck was observed hauling a motorcycle away from the scene. 

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, both the lanes of Bedford Road at Meachem Road were closed following the crash and later reopened after a while. 

The crash is still being investigated by the Battle Creek Police Department.
