1 person hospitalized after a car vs. bus collision in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

On Tuesday, one person suffered injuries following a traffic collision involving a Richmond County school bus in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at about 9:17 a.m. on Windsor Spring Road near Tobacco Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that the school bus was hit by a passenger car. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

On arrival, emergency personnel transported the driver of the car to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries. Traffic on Windsor Spring Road was rerouted onto Anthon Dejaun Pkwy. All lanes have since reopened. No additional information has been provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
