1 person hospitalized after a car crashes into a power pole in Katy (Katy, TX)

One person was injured after a vehicle collided with a power pole early Wednesday in Katy.

As per the initial information, the single-car crash took place in the 3400 block of Fry Road. Initially, crews responded to the scene on reports of a rollover crash with a pole down. Arriving units found a male inside a BMW on its side.

The male was taken out of the overturned vehicle and was rushed to the Texas Medical Centre where he is expected to survive. Officials believe that the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident. The identity of the injured victim has not been released at this time. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
