The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Shelby County on Thursday.
The accident happened in Southeast Shelby County, at the 800 block of South Collierville Arlington Road at around 12:30 a.m.
The car overturned and ended up catching fire.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name and identity of the victim have not been released by the police.
It is unclear what caused the crash and how it happened.
Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
The crash is being investigated by the officials.
