The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Rusk County. The accident happened close to the U.S. 259 and FM 850 intersection at around 6:50 a.m.
A pickup truck and a tanker truck collided with each other. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. Police haven’t confirmed that drugs or alcohol were a factor involved in the collision.
Following a fatal accident on Thursday morning, a major highway in Rusk County is once again open. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
