1 Person Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Richland (Richland, WA)

The Richland Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday morning.

A man was struck at the intersection of University Drive and Stevens Drive at around 4 a.m. He was declared dead at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.

The driver cooperated with the police while remaining on the scene. Police said investigators had found no evidence of intoxication or excessive speed from the driver. 

Around 4:40 a.m., workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation were informed that both lanes of Stevens Drive between University Drive and Battelle Boulevard were closed to traffic. 

The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional information regarding the crash is not available currently.
