1 Person Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Macon (Macon, GA)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Christmas Evening.

The accident happened on I-75 northbound close to the on-ramp from Rocky Creek Road at around 4 p.m.

A pickup truck struck the center barrier and left the road on the right shoulder as it was traveling north on I-75 near the on-ramp from Rocky Creek Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

Coroner Leon Jones pronounced the pickup’s driver, a Macon resident, died at the scene.

The incident did not result in any other injuries. 

The man’s name has not been made public by the sheriff’s office, and the next of kin have not yet been notified.

No additional information is available regarding the fatal crash.
