The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in a Hacienda Heights intersection on Monday morning. The accident happened on Colima Road and Camino Del Sur at around 1:47 a.m.
The CHP reported that there may have been two vehicles involved, one of which crashed into a traffic signal and caught fire.
Officials confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. Additional information regarding the crash is not available currently.
